New River Trail Biking Adventure
Celebrate spring on two wheels with a scenic biking adventure along the New River Trail State Park in Max Meadows, Virginia, on Saturday, April 18th. We’ll cruise along a beautiful rail trail with peaceful river views, wooded stretches, and charming countryside along the way. Whether you’re in the mood for a longer, faster ride or a shorter, more relaxed pace, there’s a route for you. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at the halfway point before heading back.
Out-and-Back Trail Options
West Route: 14.6 miles (~2.5 hours) at a slower 2.5 mph pace with lunch at the picnic shelter near Ivanhoe Bridge
East Route: 35 miles (~4 hours) at a faster 10mph pace with lunch at Draper Community Park

Member Status and Registration
An active club membership and RSVP are required to attend this event. Scroll down to the Tickets Section to register. Click here to join or renew your membership.
Guest Policy: Members are welcome to bring guests. Please increase the RSVP count when you register to reflect the total number of attendees (you count as one ticket/guest).
Registration Deadline: Register by Wednesday, April 15th. Registration closes on Thursday, April 16th.
Logistics and Event Details
Where to Meet Us: Arrive promptly at 10:30 AM in the parking lot of The Inn at Foster Falls (176 Orphanage Drive, Max Meadows, VA 24360).
Cost: Parking is $5 per car. Cash is the easiest, but you can also scan a QR code to pay.
Things to Bring: Bike, helmet, snacks, bagged lunch, water, and sunscreen.
Bike Rentals: There are bike rentals nearby, but they may not be open for the season yet. Call to check availability in advance.
Lodging: Arrange your own lodging if you would like to stay overnight. There are campgrounds, rental properties, and Airbnb accommodations nearby. The Inn at Foster Falls is closed for the season.
Policies
Age & Health Policies: Children 17 and under are welcome to attend with a parent or legal guardian. Everyone must be able to bike comfortably. If you have any health problems at all, please notify an event leader.
Weather Policy: We may have to cancel on short notice if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Registrants will be notified via email 24-72 hours prior to the event if the forecast indicates rain or storms.
Cancellation Policy: If your plans change after you register, please notify an event leader.
