A Word From Our President

Hello Skiers, Snowboarders, Hikers, and Mountain Bikers!

February was a busy month with trips! We had the best conditions at Winter Park and Steamboat in a decade, and Snowshoe was a beautiful bluebird weekend. I came down sick after Steamboat, so Jace Gates took over my duties as a trip leader for Snowshoe. Our Palisades Tahoe trip left on Sunday with 55 members and we expect lots of snow!

The final trip of the season will be to Banff, Alberta (March 11-18) with 88 members. Jace had a few last-minute cancellations so email jgates@certapro.com if you’re interested in going! 

We have 5 people going to Myrtle Beach at the end of April to represent our club at the Crescent Ski Council Spring Convention. Our social and events committees are planning events including the Queen's Cup Steeplechase Race on April 29th and whitewater rafting in West Virginia. Stay tuned for updates as space will be limited and registrations fill up fast!

So long for now and if you’re planning a personal ski trip to the Western Resorts, I’d love to hear about it!

Happy Hour & Club Meeting

Wednesday, March 8th

Meet us at the bar for a 5:30 PM Happy Hour at Sugar Creek Brewing on Wednesday, March 8th!
We'll head to the event room for our Club Meeting at 6:30 PM. 

Come find out about our 2024 Winter Trips planned to Aspen Snowmass, Beaver Creek (Vail), and Heavenly (South Lake Tahoe).
Trip reservations start June 1st and will sell out fast! 

And as always, there will be light appetizers and a cash bar.

Come watch the Queen's Cup with us on Saturday, April 29th! 
Our tent at Heart Break Hill has one of the best views at the track. 

Your $125 registration fee covers food, beer, wine, select cocktails, water, and VIP seating.
It's sure to be an exciting day, so don't miss out!

Interested in Volunteering?

Officer elections will be held in April, so we're accepting nominations from membership (per club bylaws) for the position of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. All incumbents are expected to run for another term. If you're interested in running for a position, please contact Mary Christianson at 734-761-5734 or email mary@christiansondesign.com.  

We also need members to serve on our Social Committee, Events Committee, and Trips Committee. Email Tom at tom@tomgrayson.com for more information on our social and events committees. Contact Jace at jgates@certapro.com if you're interested in helping out with trips.
