Next Club Meeting - Monday, May 13, 2019 @ 7:00pm
 - If you haven’t come to one of our Monthly Club Meetings lately, be sure to catch the last one before our summer hiatus. We meet this month at Brewers at 4001 Yancey in Charlotte, Monday, May 13, 2019 at 7pm. Come meet and thank the many volunteers who make this club a success, get to know other active people in the area, or just take advantage of the free snacks. We will also have 2019/2020 trip registration forms. In June, July and August there are still happy hours and other events you will find on the calendar, but the more formal club meetings pause, picking up again in September 2019 in time for ski/ride season.

Trip News

2019-2020 CSSC Trips - 2019-2020 CSSC Trips rolled out for Early Bird Registration on May 1st, 2019 with $100 trip deposit holding your spot. Trip details are posted on the CSSC website. 103 (65% sold) people have signed up for Aspen/Snowmass and 24 (38% sold) people have signed up for Steamboat.

Now is the time to start thinking about room and condo mates! All rooms are priced double occupancy with single supplement (private room) option available while spaces last. Singles share rooms that may or may not have separate beds. We try to place couples in rooms with one bed and singles in rooms with 2 beds, but typically we will have a couple of condos made up of all singles. In this case, condo mates will draw straws for rooms/beds. There will be a sleeper sofa available as a bail out option so everyone has their own bed. Now is the time to put together your own condo of friends and/or family. Most of our condos (80%) are made up by guest choice (preference). All CSSC Trips as well as Crescent trips have the same lodging policy.

Don’t Forget to Get Your N.C. Get more information here:https://www.ncdot.gov/dmv/license-id/nc-real-id/Pages/default.aspx

Time to Check Your Passports, Too! -The Club, and Crescent Ski Council are making plans for international trips. The council has two such trips already planned — to Sun Peaks, British Columbia, Canada in January 2020, and Spain in March 2020. Any international trip may require that you have a valid passport, one that is valid for at least six months after your return date, and one that has two or more blank pages, depending on your destination. Make sure to apply for the passport several months before you need it. More information about international travel here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/before-you-go/travelers-checklist.html

Starting this coming season, all CSSC trip participants will be required to be CSSC members - There are no more non-CSSC members (members from other Cresent clubs).
