Why Do Skiers and Riders Love Whitefish?

Set on Big Mountain, the resort offers roughly 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, 110 named trails, nearly 300 inches of average annual snow, and 2,353 feet of vertical drop. With groomers, bowls, glades, terrain parks, and world-renowned tree skiing, there’s plenty for skiers and snowboarders to explore all week long.
And then there are the snow ghosts. Whitefish is famous for its rime-covered evergreens that turn the upper mountain into a surreal winter landscape, especially around the Snow Ghost Express, Ptarmigan Bowl, and East Rim.
