Join us for a fun weekend at ACE Adventure Resort in West Virginia. We’ll enjoy cabin life, rafting on the lower New River, and several meals together!
Trip Itinerary
Friday, August 9th
- 4 PM-6 PM: Arrival and check in (stop by the main office for directions to the cabins)
- Welcome party including light snacks and refreshments
- Tentative free live music and nightlife
Saturday, August 10th
- Time TBD: Bus departure from whitewater check-in point
- Time TBD: Guided rafting on the lower New River (Class 3, 4 & 5 rapids) with a riverside lunch
- Cookout and drinks at the cabins (Michele’s Mexican Fest, always a big hit!)
- Tentative free live music and nightlife
Sunday, August 11th
- 10 AM: Checkout and departure
Full Trip Fee: $345 per person
This includes lodging, the welcome party, rafting, riverside lunch, and our cookout at the cabins. The entire Saturday rafting adventure is 5.5 to 6 hours, which includes bus travel time (between ACE Adventure whitewater check-in point and river put-in), rafting, and riverside lunch.
Rafting Only Trip Fee: $135 per person
ACE Adventure resort is only 2-3 hours from Charlotte. Come for the day (or lodge elsewhere) and meet us at the resort on Saturday by (time TBD). Riverside lunch is included.
Lodging: Enjoy a two-night stay in a relaxing log cabin (two bedroom chalet) with a hot tub, two king beds, full kitchen, and a pullout sofa. Four people per cabin. There is limited space available, but please signup for the waitlist if tickets are sold out since we may be able to reserve an extra cabin.
Transportation: You are responsible for transportation from your home to the cabins on Friday and the drive home on Sunday. Bus transportation is provided for full trip participants on Saturday between ACE Adventure check-in point and river put-in.
Club Membership Requirement: You must be a club member to attend this trip. An annual single membership is only $30 or you can purchase a family membership for $50.

Guest Policy: Club members may bring one guest each. When you register for the event, include your guest’s name, email address, phone number, and emergency contact information.
Age and Health Restrictions: Class 4 and 5 rapids can be challenging, so ACE Adventure Resort has a minimum age requirement of at least 12 years old. You must also be physically able to raft.
Dietary Needs: If you have food allergies or specific dietary needs, contact our trip leader in advance.
Waivers: Members and guests must sign a Charlotte Ski and Snowboard Club waiver. You will receive an email from Jace after you register if we don’t have one on file for you. All rafting participants must complete an ACE Waiver online before rafting check in (one hour prior to trip departure, time TBD).
Cancellation Policy: This trip is non-refundable. If the trip fills up, we collect a waitlist of names to potentially help you find a replacement.
