And more travel necessities:
GET YOUR N.C. REAL ID
If you have travel plans that include flights, you might want to get your N.C. driver’s license updated. Beginning Oct. 1, 2020, federal agencies will enforce the REAL ID Act, which requires a REAL ID, U.S. passport or another federally approved identification to board commercial flights and enter secure federal buildings. Get more information at NCDOT.
GET OR UPDATE YOUR PASSPORT, TOO!
The Club, and Crescent Ski Council are making plans for international trips. The council has two such trips already planned — to Sun Peaks, British Columbia, Canada in January 2020, and Spain in March 2020. Any international trip may require that you have a valid passport, one that is valid for at least six months after your return date, and one that has two or more blank pages, depending on your destination. Make sure to apply for the passport several months before you need it. More information about international travel at the US Dept of State.
