Appalachian Ski Mountain, NC Race, December 21st & 22nd, 2024

REGISTER:

You must register for the event by Sunday at 9:00 pm a week before the race. You will receive an announcement 2 weeks before the event is open for registration (or you can sign up here). After the Crescent Ski Council race committee has finished all registrations, they will issue a start order sheet with your bib number. The CSSC race director will send you a copy at the end of the week. Please make sure you are 100% able to race. Crescent will penalize our team for no-shows. 

Lift ticket pricing, purchasing details, and team meeting area location will be sent to all registrants when the race is confirmed.

Register for one of the following events:

• Saturday, December 21, 9:30 am, Slalom, two runs 
• Sunday, December 22, 9:30 am, Giant Slalom, 2 runs
• Both Saturday Slalom and Sunday Giant Slalom
• Qualifying either Saturday, Sunday, or both (Race team dues not required)
• Non-racer participant (Race team dues not required)

Club dues and the Crescent racer fee ($40) must be paid before race registration (racer fee not required for qualifying runs or non-racer). You can pay these on our website by choosing, or changing, the level of your membership to include "race team membership" (look for the available levels on your profile). 

If you are already an active paid member, contact the Asst. Race Director (John Gardner, jrgart49@gmail.com) and ask him to adjust your invoice for the Crescent racer fee only.

QUALIFY:

To qualify to race for the team at a Crescent Ski Council event you must qualify at a Crescent or NASTAR event . The rules for qualifying, racing, and gatekeeping can be found on the Crescent Ski Council website at: https://www.crescentskicouncil.org/racing/RaceDocuments.html. You can register and run a race course to qualify at any Crescent race and no racer fee is required.

RACE DAY:

The races start both days PROMPTLY at 9:30 am. This means we all need to arrive at the mountain with plenty of time to buy our tickets, get ready, get our bibs, slip the course, pair new racers with mentors, and find our spot in the lineup. 

The team will meet on the third floor no later than 8:00 am for check-in and to get our bibs.

DISCOUNTED LIFT TICKETS WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE ONLINE.  THE CODES FOR THE DISCOUNT WILL BE SENT TO YOU IN YOUR REGISTRATION ACKNOWLEDGMENT EMAIL.
