August Newsletter With Upcoming Events and Trips

July 28, 2023 10:23 AM | Anonymous

Greetings Fellow Skiers, Snowboarders, Hikers, and Mountain Bikers! We had a great lake party last Saturday at Randy & Dawn’s beautiful Lake Norman home. They graciously hosted again this year, and the weather was perfect. We had a good time eating, drinking, hanging out by the pool, and socializing with new members and guests.

As for upcoming events and trips, we still have a few spots left for our August 4th-6th Whitewater Rafting Weekend at ACE Adventure Resort in West Virginia. Thursday Mountain Biking at the Whitewater Center has been cancelled until further notice due to heat exhaustion risks. Our Western trips and Crescent Ski Council trips are selling well, and Aspen Snowmass is waitlisted.

Join us Friday, August 25th for live music and craft beer at Lake Norman Brewery. We plan to host additional happy hours at different locations in the Charlotte Metro area starting in the fall. For now, mark your calendars for a happy hour and club meeting on Wednesday, September 13th at Sugar Creek Brewing.

Enjoy your summer and we look forward to seeing you in September! Tell your friends about us so we can meet them, too!

~ Tom Grayson, Club President
